Per Tax Agent request, we've recently added a new
Agent Activity Lookup to give an activity snapshot
on ALL parcels recently filed with the SBOE. This is similar to the Agent Hearings Report but includes
unscheduled (as yet) dockets and lists the results by the actual SBOE received date.
If at all possible David requests that tax agencies consider using this lookup before calling
us for status on a recently filed petition they aren't sure of, or that hasn't been scheduled yet. This
new report will list all received agency parcels, the one exception is bulks which may sometimes be in a pending area for a short period before being imported to the live tables. Note that these pending bulks may be checked via the existing Agent Bulk report. Please feel free to email me with any comments or desired modifications to this new Agent Activity Report. - thx Scott

The SBOE is moving our operational location. Our new location will be 100 North 15th Avenue,
Suite 130, Phoenix AZ 85007. Our phone number is being changed the new number will be 602-364-1600. Also, agents are requested
to try to keep us apprised of changes to their email or fax numbers. See
Agent Emails...
option from the menu to update or change your agent email via our new Agent Profile System.
We are happy to note that many people are filing electronically this year
for the first time via the website. Just a reminder to make sure your parcel number is correct and
also that every parcel you file, whether one or several, should have an associated assessor decision date
field filled in from your appeal to the assessor. For Notice of Change appeals use the Assessor mailing date in this field. A blank value for that field will cause
an invalid filing email to be sent. Remember assessor appeals are a mandatory step
before filing with the SBOE for normal main season appeals of the early season postcard mailed
values from the county. To check your parcel number, if you're not sure, use one of the county lookups, see
Maricopa Links and Pima Links from the menu.

Dear Taxpayers/Representatives:
For the upcoming appeals cycle the Board requests that evidence, including incoming expense (Form-300), not be submitted to the Board prior to the hearings. You will still have the obligation to provide the County the income and expense updates at least five days prior to the hearing. The obvious exception to providing the Board evidence prior to a hearing will be On The Record hearings.
Please file your petitions as soon as possible! Early filers receive preference on scheduling requests, (so there is no need to hold a petition for 25 days). If there are special scheduling needs please fax or e-mail me, along with your filings.
Chairman

Petitions are starting to fill the Boards mailbox “mostly residential” and the scheduling has begun. If you have a special request please email me chairman (even if you are E-Filing). Early filers receive preference. We will try to meet the requests but please be practical. Our first day for hearings will be August 7th.

Dear Tax Community
The appeal season is now under way. We would like to strongly encourage those of you who will be bringing petitions to the State Board, as well as the counties, to sign up for our automated e-mail notifications. You may sign-up by calling us and giving us your e-mail address, at 602-253-7800 x28. Make sure you let us know if your e-mail has changed as this will interfere with your receiving these automated notifications.
Additionally, as in the past, you may look up scheduling and decision information by parcel or by agent via the web lookups on this page (see the Parcel Lookups and Agent Lookups options on the menu). Some of these lookups have been updated to include more complete and easier viewing of decision and multiple parcel information.
Please file your petitions as soon as possible. You can always add a notation as to when you will be prepared for a hearing or your time of availability. This will help us get through the clerical bottlenecks that happen every year.
If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me. - Chairman
